This private client approached R-LA to transform a narrow and long walled dead space into a garden for reflection that could be enjoyed inside and out. Hollow Lane is a modern country new build with minimalist interiors that benefits from lots of natural light.
R-LA was instantly inspired to replicate the podium deck Water Gardens in London. A reflection garden becomes a reflecting garden with the planting beautifully reflected back at the viewer.
The winning element of this project was R-LA's ability to portray the scheme visually to the client which is why 3-D modeling and CGI is such an important part of what R-LA does. Just look at this before and after image!

R-LA is excited to see this scheme take place with the help of Pro-Scape.
The scheme includes aquatic planting at the edge and aluminium planters at the back to give height. And around the corner is a separate kitchen garden in raised planters for the family to enjot. The pond is shallow with a discrete pump and the steel lining will be painted back to enhance it's reflective properties. The pond will be filled with a layer of large smooth pebbles which cannot be swallowed by small children.
