PEEL HOUSE

PODIUM DECK
INTENSIVE GREEN ROOF

The former police training centre, Peel House, was redeveloped to be the off-site housing provision for the associated One Hyde Park luxury residential development and contains 70 affordable homes (66 apartments and four townhouses) and 33 underground car parking spaces.

The new development, aimed at providing affordable units of an equivalent quality to the sister development, retains elevations of the original building and includes a new underground car park over which a landscaped courtyard / intensive green roof has been constructed, providing a pleasant environment in which to live.

In the capacity of senior project landscape architect for Macfarlane Wilder Ltd (the studio is now trading under a different name), Cristina Refolo provided construction detailed design information for the roof deck communal courtyard.
